A meeting with Arvo Valton

The Estonian Club of the Czech Republic (U Vodárny restoran-klubi, Korunní 75) is calling those interested in Estonia culture to a literary meeting, where author Arvo Valton will introduce his works and also discuss the literature of the Finno-Ugric peoples, which he has translated a great deal of recently.
On 23 October, the Baltic literature and film festival Baltfest 2009 will be held in the small hall of the Prague City Library (Mariánske nam. 1, Prague 1).
Arvo Valton from Estonia, Liana Langa from Latvia, and Kestutis Navakas from Lithuania will be guests at the festival.
During the morning portion of the festival (10.00-13.00) there will be presentations about Baltic culture and history, and in the afternoon (14.00-18.00) discussions with the writers will take place, the authors will read excerpts from their works, and short films will be shown.
